Off I go!
Its about 6 hours until I leave home, hoping to arrive in Ethiopia in around 24 hours. This is set to an awesome trip! What I'll be doing is working at a summer school for the young children of Addis Ababa teaching science and generally working with them. This is a three week trip, teaching 3 different age groups of children (young (5 or so), older (11 or so) or late teens) While we're there we'll be visiting peoples homes, different projects like the comic relief and working closely with St. Matthews church. Which is all set up and ready! I'll be sure to post in this every time I get online, I'm so excited. I'll have more to say when I've been there a day! Heh, I love random late night conversations. After discussing how you can't properly hug online, I decided (and stated) that I would be happy if I could just hug people, friends of mine, all the time. I then worked out I would eventually die because of not eating due to mild hug induced euphoria.... However this entire plan clashes with becoming a hermit and getting hypothermia up a mount (determined in a different conversation with the same friend. Yay adjoining mountains, we can't be hermits next to each other for obvious reasons.) Either we're both weird, or I need to sleep more. R.I.P. Hunny Bunny.
Today marks the passing of Hunny Bunny, a small rabbit. We did not have him all his life, but we certainly had him for the best years. I hope we gave all he could have wanted, and made his time with us fun and happy... HB, you lived to 15, and that was exceptional for a rabbit. We did our best, I hope it was enough. The world is a sadder place for your passing. I'll never forget chasing him round the garden trying to catch him to put him to bed, most every night in summer. She's not talking to me either now. I'm sorry I snapped but it really did hurt, I've apologised once, and I'm not doing it again. And yes I can see you with her, being all chatty and jokey. I know why you're doing it to. News flash, I don't care! I couldn't give a flying. So, why bother? Really seems little point. Ah well, whatever. If she’s going to take issue, she’ll actually have to talk to me to bring it up. So there. I don’t care if she or the other one have a problem with me, and if they want to confront me, I really don’t care. However I’m not going to confront them or attempt to talk to them. Less than 2 years left and then woosh, bye bye. It wont matter if I ignored them or not, sine I doubt we’ll go to the same places. Maybe this is just the beginning of the change. New day, new start, new me. Still as thick as ever, so don’t worry Fay, I wont change that much! Wow.. snow.
Two days late, but hey cool! Last time it snowed, I went out sledding in the fields with Nick. That was a good 4 years ago, as I think it was before I was a total internet addict. So, its snowing, and what am I doing? Why I'm inside annotating my copy of Dubliners, of course. How boring. Its the sort of weather that makes you want to sit outside, or run and play outside if the mood takes you... And I am stuck inside making notes on highly depressing stories. Be still, my beating heart. I was supposed to be dying my hair last night, but it got postponed to this morning, at which point it didn't happen either, because mum actually did go to her friends to pick up the other half of the dig (She's an archaeologist) So perhaps this afternoon? I will take many many pictures and upload them. I'm incredibly tired, since I stayed up until about 3, but its all good in the end. Snooooooooooow! Ok... An update on life (I've been bullied into it) Life at the minute is average, it really is. Anything bad I don't particularly feel like sharing with teh internets. Christmas is coming, and I'm fairly =/ as whole. Christmas is a time for loved ones, and my loved ones (friends) are spending most of the festive season away from me, which sucks a bit.. Here's hoping to a better 2006. I'm still the same; short, redheaded (though I am dying it black mwahaha), evil and planning world domination. Sunshine and napalm to all of you at this festive time. |
